What is transformation?
 

Transformation demands commitment and determination, as well as goals, measurement and accountability if serious progress is to be made. Jesus’ goal is to transform our lives. To move us from being a comfort-seeking, success-driven, religious, selfish sinner, to a God-loving, God-fearing, God-focused, Spirit-led, heartbroken, citizen of heaven.

“Work for justice. Help the down-and-out. Stand up for the homeless. Go to bat for the defenceless” (Isaiah 1:17).

 

“Enough! You've corrupted justice long enough, you've let the wicked get away with murder. You're here to defend the defenceless, to make sure that underdogs get a fair break; Your job is to stand up for the powerless, and prosecute all those who exploit them” (Psalm 82:2-4).

 

“Speak up for the people who have no voice, for the rights of all the down-and-outers. Speak out for justice! Stand up for the poor and destitute!” (Proverbs 31:8-9).

 

Do it for the children of our country!! This is God’s heart for His children … the little ones!!

 

Vision

To contribute towards the transformation of the communities we serve, to re-connect people to God, themselves, others and creation and to make the community liveable again.

 

Scripture:

“May God himself, the God who makes everything holy and whole, make you holy and whole, put you together--spirit, soul, and body--and keep you fit for the coming of our Master, Jesus Christ” (Thes 5:23).

 

Mission

To create a network of organisations who are serving in these communities

 

Focus areas

• Sharing of resources (facilities)

• Sharing of expertise, knowledge, skills and experience

• Equipping organisations with knowledge, skills and experience to enable them to provide effective services

• Arrange talks by experts

• Present short workshops

• Use the network as a platform to negotiate for services and to lobby

• Provide emotional and spiritual support to the managers of the organisations
